Sarah Huyck joined Clay Daniel Winner, LLC in January 2020 as a Partner in the firm's Family Law Group. For the last eight years, Sarah has focused her practice in the area of Family Law. Her primary emphasis includes divorce, child custody, adoption, business valuations, maintenance, domestic violence, and complex child support. Sarah has a passion for helping individuals and families going through difficult times and advising them on the court process when it becomes necessary. Sarah has been honored to be named to the Super Lawyers Kentucky Rising Stars List for the past 6 years. Prior to entering private practice, Sarah served as a staff in Jefferson County Family Court where she drafted orders and advised the Judges on various legal matters.
Sarah graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 as a member of the Honors Program with a B.A. in Political Science. She received the Presidential Scholarship, was a Kentucky Governors scholar and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Sarah is a 2011 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. She was a recipient of the Milton M. and Alene F. Livingston Scholarship and was a Top Advocate on the UK College of Law’s Trial Advocacy Board. While in school at the University of Kentucky, Sarah interned with the Kentucky Court of Appeals with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. During her third year of law school, Sarah served as a certified legal intern in UK’s Legal Clinic which gave her the opportunity to provide pro bono legal services to clients who needed help with family law matters.
Sarah is very active in Louisville’s legal community. She is a member and regular volunteer of the Family Law Sections of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association. She is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County. Sarah is regularly appointed by the courts as a Guardian ad Litem representing children in custody disputes, abuse & neglect cases, and adoptions.
Sarah is originally from Paducah, Kentucky, but is now proud to call Louisville home. Outside of law, she enjoys playing softball, bowling, and spending time with her nephew and three nieces.
